appMobiはのE3で、ゲームホスティングプラットホームTapJSの買収も発表した。このホスティングにはコミュニティ機能があって、ゲームにプレーヤーのアカウントや、サーバサイドのデータストレージ、リーダーボード（上位得点者表）、バッジ、Facebookなどを、シンプルなJavaScript APIで組み込むことができる。appMobiによれば、TapJSを買収したことによって同社のツールを利用するスタートアップも、ゲームにさまざまなコミュニティ機能や参加的機能を含めることができる。つまり、ゲームをソーシャルなゲームにできるのだ。Apple MacBook Pro 15 inch バッテリー
appMobiが主張する、新しいテクノロジによるHTML5の描画のスピードアップについては、下のビデオを見ていただきたい。このテクノロジはなかなか良いと思うが、問題は今後、DirectCanvasという、ある意味特殊な技術が、多くのデベロッパたちにどれだけ普及するかだ。できるだけ、一般的で誰もが使う技術として普及してほしいね。

Ningと、ライブストリームビデオのUstreamが、（米国時間6/7）発表した提携により、Ningの上で自分のSNSを作るユーザは、自分のサイトからいつでも、ライブのビデオとオーディオをブロードキャストできる。しかも、ライブのチャット機能なども利用できる。
つまりNingがUstreamを組み込んだことによって、Ningがホストするネットワークにライブビデオのコンテンツを容易に埋め込めるようになり、ユーザはそれをUstreamからブロードキャストできる。ユーザはUstreamのチャネルをNingのWebサイトに埋め込めるだけでなく、ライブのブロードキャストがあるよというサインをサイトに加えられる。また同時に、ストリーミング中のチャットもできるようになる。Sony VGP-BPS2A

]]>その精神に則り、Google Earthをはじめ10あまりの研究機関がデータと人材と技術を寄せ合い、海底地形の高解像度のマップを作った。その作業を指揮したのはコロンビア大学のLamont-Doherty Earth Observatory（Lamont-Doherty地球観測所）で、ここが、Global Multi-Resolution Topography(GMRT)など、20年近くにわたる500回の洋上調査から得られたデータを提供した。Acer UM09G31

World Oceans Day 2011でGoogle Earthによる海底地図作成プロジェクトに参加した、そのほかの研究機関は: Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute、Scripps Institution of Oceanography、University of Hawaii、University of New Hampshire、University of Washington、U.S. Coast Guard、U.S. Navy、Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution、Leibniz Institute of Marine Sciences（University of Kiel）、Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service（Chilean Navy）である。
このプロジェクトで、地図化された海底の面積は一挙に、これまでの倍に増えたが、しかしGoogleの推計ではそれでもまだ、世界の海底のわずか5%が地図化されているにすぎない。だから、われわれの「目の楽しみ」は、今後もっともっとあるわけだ！
万能エンベッドサービスのEmbedly、統合APIをローンチ、45万ドルを調達
Embedlyはウェブ上のほとんどあらゆるサイトのコンテンツをエンベッドできるようにするサービスだが、（米国時間6/9）、45万ドルのベンチャー資金の調達に成功したことを発表した。Sony VGP-BPS2B
投資家はHoward Lindzon、Social Leverage、Venture 51、Adam Schwartz、Betaworksだ。これに加えて、去年8月の25万ドルのラウンドに参加したChris Saccaも加わっている。Adam Schwartzは同社の取締役に就任する。
しかしEmbedlyにとっての大ニュースは資金調達だけではない。同社はAPIのリニューアルも行い、これまで2つの異なったシリーズに分かれていてデベロッパーにとって分かりにくかったサービスを単一のAPIに統合したことを発表した。
EmbedlyはYouTube、Rdio、Twitterなどの著名サイトのみエンベッドできる無料の標準APIと ほとんどあらゆるサイトが処理できるPro API を提供してきた。Pro APIはエンベッドの見栄えもよい（Facebookが採用したstory creator似ているが、こちらは誰もが利用出来るサービスだ）。従来の2系統のAPIが今回は一つに統合された（APIを利用するにはこちらからサイインする）。.Acer バッテリー
またEmbedlyは統計も発表した。このサービスはHunch、Bit.ly、StockTwits、Yammerなどの有力サイトを含む1200のサイトが利用している（LindzonとSchwartzは自分のアプリにEmbedlyを利用している）という。全サイトを合計してエンベッドの表示は月間20億回だという。2010年7月時点では表示URL数は月間400万に過ぎなかった。
